originally released in 1996, the 6-track remnants ep was only the second record produced by morgan geist for his own environ label. now beautifully remastered, this heretofore hard-to-find ep is crammed with geists early influences: from intricately-programmed roland orchestras that echo his early techno releases on metamorphic to jazz- and r&b- listening tracks that would later inform the sound of his debut album.

after a few years on hiatus, one electronica has gone all out in with a heavy debut 4 tracker from new member thought camera. the young belfast born producer who has been very busy in the studio putting together an arsenal of electronic weapons has also enjoyed an increase in popularity and profile in the local scene due to his hard work and commitment to the cause. with such a strong release about to drop in the next few weeks and with more unreleased material on its way this guy is worth keeping an eye on as a rising talent. without using too many bullshit analogies � this is release is simply dancefloor bliss and a djs dream that will be keep at the front of a record box for years to come and could be a favourite among various styles. the title track astral pilot comes in strong with spatial glitchy electronic chatter and tubular echoes that are pretty damn haunting. headspace comes in on a2 which is the antithesis of serenity and meditation that the name suggests. this acidic jack track is upbeat and laden with bass bleeding all over the place. flip it over and you have lifeforms on the b1 which is the most technical track on the release which ebbs and flows between solemn and sombre leaving you emotionally twisted yet intrigued this is one to look out for! obsession which aptly depicts this track a stalker in the night, haunting, imposing, friday 13th shit. not for the faint hearted.

total makt is the molten new ep from evigt morker. there s plenty to be charmed by as the collection of tracks open out and tame our senses. once the flirting fades, we are quite casually led down bumpy, aqueous routes into something, and slowly we are funnelled into evigt morker s terrain, eventually arriving in darker corners of the fantasy that first caught our eye.

there is an intricate sorrow to isorinne s new album, speechless malison. though broadly melodic, it feels exhausted rather than restrained, though rippling with a pulse, the rhythmic passages are sparse, their measured source a great distance away. building on last year s cassette, echoic memoir, speechless malison takes greater and emotive strides, however brittle the path.

for their first multi-artist compilation, music from memory take us on a trip to the heart of the amazon rainforest. outro tempo: electronic and contemporary music from brazil, 1978-1992 is a double lp that explores the outer reaches of brazilian music, where indigenous rhythms mix with synthesizers and where mpb mingles with drum computers. as brazil faced the last years of its military dictatorship and transition to democracy, a generation of forward-thinking musicians developed an alternative vision of brazilian music and culture. they embraced traditionally shunned electronic production methods and infused their music with elements of ambient, jazz-fusion, and minimalism. at the same time they referenced the musical forms and spirituality of indigenous tribes from the amazon. the music they produced was a complex and mesmerising tapestry that vividly evoked brazilian landscapes and simultaneously reached out to the world beyond its borders.

atmophile electronics, a new berlin based label focusses on atmospheric side of techno, launches with a compilation called fundamentum. made up by eight tracks on double-vinyl, fundamentum brings together the most contemporary techno-talents like matrixmann, takaaki itoh, polar intertia, sofus forsberg, mike parker, alderson disk, ankurbln, and naty seres. all tracks are exclusive to this release.

bandhagens musikforening is the new project from michel isorinne and martin sander. their debut record for northern electronics tangles mournful, surreal profiles with euphoric, sunset electro. particular tracks map either end of the spectrum that is to be found, but it s the viscous mesh of emotive motion that is the most striking and perhaps singular feature of their first record.

the 3rd record from pi electronics is by the rotterdam based, thessaloniki born producer, damcase. pi03 includes five original tracks of punky electro and techno, flavoured with damcase�s riffs and noisy aesthetic. sharp percussions, along with distorted grooves and broken beats, as well as some experimentation with voltage control techniques. the label reveals new colours on its palette, though not shifting away from its character.

glyn -bigga- bush began his production career with rockers hi fi in the early 90s, co-writing several studio albums, a host of remixes and the infamous dj kicks - the black album. in 2000 he went solo as both biggabush and lightning head, making albums for sonar kollektiv and stereo deluxe as well as many more remixes. his sound reflects his love of dub reggae, analogue synthesisers and intricate rhythms, with influences of samba, afrobeat, the deep dubscapes of rhythm & sound and most recently the more interesting end of 140bpm bass music. this ep is his first vinyl release since the late 00s and takes in a number of bass-heavy rumblers with classic biggabush twists and turns, starting with the steppas delight of mangrove monkey, relentless subs and skanks of sounds & blues, post-dubstep breaks on dash way com and finishing with a minimal 4/4 fx soundscape on footsie index.

nice price deal !!! it s been a big shock for all of us to hear the sad news that our good friend andreas gehm passed away this year. his last big project is the -worldwide electronics- - series on his own label -cologne underground- which brings his friends from all over the world together. the idea of �worldwide electronics� is to combine music from all over the world on one album (in fact, there will be a vol.2 too). the second idea was to combine well known artist with newcomer. when gehm, who runs cologne underground together with dbh distribution, ask the artist for tracks, he don�t ask for any specific style. the artist were free to deliver whatever they want. so at the end it ended up from deep house (oldschool definition, not edm definition) to acid. �worldwide electronics vol.1� contains one track from greece (dimdj), germany (hardfloor), netherlands (baz reznik), england (perseus traxx), columbia(s.valencia) 2 tracks from japan (takeshi kouzuki and jin-cromanyon) and the first of hopefully a row of collaboration tracks from legowelt (netherlands) and elec pt.1 (germany) as �gehm & wolfers).
