after a first ep by arnaud linked in a certain way to greece, tablon 002 will come from istanbul. far from us the idea to make a worldwide music label or refer to any old war between two countries. it just happened like that. sarp makes amazing music and we are proud to present his new ep. it is called >i care because you dont<, the artwork is made by nefelie and the mastering by mathieu berthet in paris. as we care a lot about the vinyl thing, our releases appear first on 12 inch vinyl.

coming from the notorious l.a. promoters/multi-media group droid behavior, vangelis and vidal vargas are no strangers to techno. these brothers have been shaping and molding l.a. dance floors since the early 2000s. formerly known as acid circus, they started to record as raíz in 2010 for their first release on historia y violencia.

as christmas 1969 beckoned, jimi hendrix, bassist billy cox, and drummer buddy miles engaged in extensive rehearsals for their highly anticipated appearances at the fillmore east in new york. branded by hendrix as the band of gypsys, the trio worked feverishly rounding such exciting new original material as >izabella< and >machine gun< into form. keenly aware of the special significance his forthcoming concerts represented, jimi wanted to prepare something extraordinary for his audience. to mark the occasion in his own inimitable fashion, jimi readied this special medley of holiday favorites to celebrate both christmas and the dawning of a new decade. this recording was made at baggys studios, a manhattan rehearsal facility the group preferred. it by no means should be considered a polished studio recording made to hendrixs exacting specifications. it is, instead, perhaps even more revealing. this is a glimpse of jimi simply having fun in the company of close friends. the photograph of jimi posing as santa claus was originally organized on behalf of the uk music newspaper record mirror. to help publicize the december 1967 release of axis: bold as love, the groups second album, jimi agreed to pose as santa for the issues cover. an alternate photograph from that session, with jimi bearing gifts in the form of axis: bold as love, is featured here. as an added bonus, also included is jimis playful >three little bears<. this track was recorded with the experience at the record plant in may 1968 during sessions for electric ladyland. bypassed for that album, >three little bears< was originally issued as part of the 1972 posthumous compilation war heroes. it has been unavailable in the us for nearly twenty-five years.

catz n dogzs pets recordings returns with a collaborative single project as refreshing and breathtaking as the back catalogue releases before it. >follow the step< is the first original track from sofia-based german musician, rachel row, and fellow bulgarian house/techno stalwart, kink. born of a rare connection where words are unnecessary, rachel row and kink have created a dreamy, love-longing, magically soulful record that defies genre and space.

fantastic reissue of two highly sought-after disco gems from canadian indie label attic. first up is sparkles awesome and very rare piece of jazzy disco-funk >disco madness< from 1979. a soaring high-voltage killer of a tune, it sports a pacy bassline supported by high-quality breaks and über-funky guitar riffs. flip over for the great que tal america!< from two man sound who despite hailing from belgium managed to create this monster latino classic. seamlessly fusing samba, jazz, bossanova and disco, this record was a huge underground anthem in new york back in the 70s. with its immensely funky salsa grooves and fabulous rhythm combo, you can understand why this track has been sampled to death. unmissable disco at its finest - sheer class!

smalhans is the fourth solo album by norwegian producer hans-peter lindstrøm, and his second album to come out in 2012. earlier this year he released six cups of rebel, which was a very personal album for lindstrøm and showed his more experimental side. now, this forthcoming record on smalltown supersound, finds lindstrøm back on the dance floor with six monumental tracks – classic lindstrøm style.
smalhans was mixed by his friend todd terje, who has also made extended edits which will be released as 12 inches. the album title is an old norwegian word and means scarcity or simply poverty. each track on the album is titled after a traditional norwegian meal. smallhans is lindstrøm at his very best, perfected by todd terje.

the new bomb on echocord colour comes from nick höppner and scott monteith aka deadbeat. this is the first ep by nick höppner on echocord colour. nick is maybe most known as being the manager of one of berlins most infamous record labels, ostgut-ton, höppner may not always receive the same lavish praise as ostgut artists like ben klock, shed and marcel dettmann, but there is an argument to be had that he is the best of the bunch. höppner only releases sporadically, but whether it is solo or alongside lee jones as mymy, his records are always remarkable. the 2 tracks for this release are both peaktime tracks. deadbeat did the remix.
