“don’t stay still” is the debut ep of trim records in amsterdam. we chose amsterdam because we believe in the vibe of this fantastic city and the growing underground culture. the label comes from the passion for music, vinyls, and freedom to have fun dancing around the world from raves from 1990 to today. the 180 grams vinyl ep is made up of 4 minimal-size tek-house tracks. our first artist is tijn, a great music and sound professional from uk. proprietary of label house wax and deep edition, with recent label releases as: memora, bodyparts, isgud and many more... ep s remix has been entrusted to the rising star of bucharest romania funk e following up some great releases like raum ... musik, adult only and kurbitz.

for its 3rd release, the other planet presents worth way. embark with him on this journey to discovery. a universe full of poetry accompanied by rhythms with lo-fi accents.
this ep was created throughout adventures into the australian wilderness. whilst hiking and driving around mountains, forests and beaches, inspirations were drawn from emotions and connections that were felt in these settings. the tracks reflect the physical and psychological catharsis that can be induced in a landscape that has seen minimal human activity.

rising young talent, elliot adamson, has been on the edible radar for a couple of years already, so it’s fitting that his debut for the eats everything curated imprint marks the label’s tenth release. the newcastle born producer has been gathering an arsenal of some of the freshest and inventive house music for some time now, and two of these cuts are ripe and ready for consumption on this tasty edible release. with its insatiable jackin’ vibe, “still workin” has already become a firm favourite in the dj sets of eats everything, the dj deeon sampling track keeps pumping pure energy and classic chi- town house troupes from start to finish, with a rasping bassline riff worming its way around the solid kicks and clattering hats. the fantastically named “where the fucks my flanger at?” clearly represents his love of raw and undiluted house music. coming from the cajual/relief school of trax, this is another crafty and playful club cut from the house of adamson. having built up a strong following already, and support for his music from djs like jackmaster, skream and patrick topping,

the sadly departed jaki liebezeit was the kind of drummer whose influence will be continually recognised over the decades to come. best known for his work in can, there are also many more sides to this singular sticksman, and emotional rescue has chosen to shine a light on his post-can period living in stollwerck. on the a side of this 7inch curio is the sound of phantom band with linear johnson & the protons. rush rush has a spiky new wave bent to it, but still liebezeit s drumming stands out. the b side drums off chaos need little explanation its the sound of one of the all-time drumming greats letting rip in a ferocious blast of percussive abandon.

(hopefully he didn t recognize it while he was mastering it) the last schmer vinyl was dj rx-5 a taste for crap ep from the then moscow based very underground dj compass vrubell. nina kraviz thought it was so crappy she put a track from it on fabric 91: nina kraviz, so i asked alexey to make some more crap. he did it his shway and this is the result. ( ps he still has all the patterns for the rx-5 from the original release so remaster, remixes and rereleases are in schmer s future, huzzah!) bpmf the original schmer artist had nothing better to do so he kommt back and gave us this track. we love to torture the engineer so we just had to include some loops: rhizome is the alter-ego of moscow wunderkind nikita zabelin. philly based hero/victim has been victimizing soundsystems up and down the east coast with his mad live performances. the wise caucasian is a pseudonym for some super famous london based producer and label owner, or at least thats what he claimed when i picked up his bar tab.

incredible repress of rick wilhites 2004 ep on chicagos still music imprint. pure detroit beatdown house music, featuring some stellar remix and production work from the legendary delano smith too! city bar reopen live dancing is the opening track, a down-low, funk drenched late night mover that s full of soul with killer vocals from the amazingly monikered billy beemer aka bill beaver. this one s a cult track, underground house music for dancers! 2 mixes of magic water also appear on this essential 12inch, a collabo between rick and delano which is all that needs to be said really! as you can imagine this one is deep a subdued groove that slowly blooms and unfolds until you re totally locked in and it s too late! all in all, a timely reissue of a mid 2000s classic 12inch overflowing with rick wilhites unique style and flow, one of detroit’s most unsung heroes.

still living in slavery is mr raoul ks third album. it is, however, the first one that will be released on his own label baobab music. he thought for quite some time about to shift the african instruments and african rhythm structures that uses in his production processs into a more dominant, more exposed position. giving them a role of there own and freeing them from being bound to a groove coined by a four-to-the-floor kickdrum. while using dominating drumsounds when producing records aimed for the dancefloor seemed reasonible, they werent needed for the storytelling concept throughout this album and are left to the accompanying remixes.

the next part of mr raoul ks album >still living in slavery<. it is delivered in a picture sleeve that will hold all three records and will also look very good on your record shelf. musicwise, the first side features all three chapters of >dounougnan magni< stretched over almost eighteen minutes. pure afrofunk bliss with beautiful keyboards played by kuniyuki takahashi. the track also features the vocal talents of hamed sosso who accompanies the listener throughout his journey. an emotional trip, starting in hot desert plain and ending on cloudy hilltops.

this twelve-inch is the first in triple that will make up the vinyl version of mr raoul ks album still living in slavery - his first album on his own label. the second twelve-inch will be release in a picture sleeve that will be able to hold all three records.
