we at eskimo recordings are proud to present you the first in a series of double a-side releases. casio social club (aka justin winks) is paying homage to the summer with nordic nights. its an upbeat disco track which is bound to get everyone on cloud nine. and on the dancefloor. kolombos cooperation with michael parker was already featured on aeroplanes inflight entertainment comp. this time hes collaborating with djuma soundsystem, who everyone will still remember from their intergalactic 2006 hit les djinns.with cherimoya, this danish-belgian cooperation seems to work out perfectly! double a-side boys & girls.

after a successful 2011 releasing his sound on labels such as rejected and area remote, mark presents his debut single for saved called sacrifice. the track possesses a catchy, old school style bassline running along deep punding kicks and bright hats. the vocal takes centre stage and guides people towards the drop with the synths adding extra energy to the production. on the flip side is a re-work from the legendary terrence parker dishing up the usual high standard of additional production

following her flowerhead single which was backed with a hugely successful spencer parker remix, swedens la fleur returns to her own fledgling power plant imprint for it s third release, eavesdropper. strong, melodic and timeless house music paired with stunning artwork, power plants remit is a simple but attractive one. the beautiful images of olaf hajek, wilfried pordiech sätty and now hans arnold provide a striking outer to a core that, in just two releases, is already essential for many a house fan. former dancer sanna la fleur, label boss and the artist in question for the label s third 12 inch, employs a variety of sunny major key chords and whispering female vocals on title cut >eavesdropper< to great ends. spacious and gentle yet undeniably propulsive >eavesdropper< is an infectious skipping groove with a strikingly beautiful feel underpinned with nagging bass. the flipside cut tjuvlyssnerskan takes its name from the swedish feminine noun for eavesdropper yet reverses the gender of the vocals of its counterpart. added dusty loops, poignant pianos and another weighty bass create a piece of house that much more than the sum of its parts. the > eavesdropper< is another triumph for the power plant label and la fleur while also being a shining example of how to release records with love and care.

manuel tur returns to freerange following some brilliant eps including foolin on delusions of grandeur and more recently the sublime deepness of about to fall on mildpitch, the label he runs with dplay. recent remixes include those for jazzanova, azari & iii and wildbirds and peacedrums on dixons philomena label. manuel is also one half of ribn alongside langenberg and their releases have recently got rave reviews following releases and remixes on ovum and poker flat. jimpster continues to be in demand as a remixer and dj with his recent remixes for terrence parker on systematic and freak seven on 2020 vision both storming into the top tens of the major online house charts. he currently holds number one on traxsource deep house with his freak seven remix. king britt has had an amazing return to form the last year or so with his remix of jay haze for contexterior and his planet e release proving why he is such a versatile and accomplished producer. already being played and charted by by ame, deetron, agoria and steve bug.

greg schappert aka donor (brooklyn, ny) and tom russell aka truss (london, uk) first came into contact sometime towards the end of 2006. it didnt take long to realize that they had an immediate understanding of one anothers musical background and desired direction. finding that connection has resulted in the two continuing to work together on many joint projects, varying their style between more deep and hypnotic minimal techno to the more driving industrial style techno that they both grew up listening to.

with releases on labels like ostgut, time 2 express and prologue, the finnish producer is one of the leading lights in the new wave of european techno. samuli gets straight down to business on orbiter. based on chugging, insistent drums, the listener is led to a place where repetitive droning sounds, pitched up percussion and robotic bleeps dominate. if ever there was a soundtrack lose your mind to in a dark room, then >orbiter< is it. >metal space< is more considered, but its no less effective. berlin producer mike dehnert rounds off the ep with an excellent, deeply textured take on >metal space<.
