after some great response from 005 we seem to have a little groove on here and we are ready 006 with what might be my personal favorite ep so far, i find it very hard to choose a favorite here - i hope you do too!

vinyl only and silk-screened artwork! now that the isms ep has provided our favorite dance floors with magico moments and vivid arpeggios, nous klaer audio presents the second part of their collection of dance floor excursions. for the second release oceanic presents a ticket to another yet unexplored destination. this ep may count as his proper debut, though his kobo contribution to the rimini series of edits-to-go has already put joy to last summers festivals. on blanco bero oceanic follows on from the anthematic kobo on rimini with an ep of yet again uncanny but-powerful dance music, ready to explore.

dj support from rich medina, kev beadle, dj cash money, eavesdrop radio and kcrw. fatnice is multi talented to say the least. the avant garde mc, producer, singer, and writer grew up listening to tons of records and tapes from his aunts collections which were comprised primarily of soul and funk gems. a prolific house head, fatnice became entrenched in the boombap sounds of hiphop via the roar of melle melle rhyming the message in 1982. an avid writer of poetry fatnice found it addicting being able to combine rhymes with beats to create music.

both listening hip hop and electronic, raphael henard and maxime denuc started to make music together in 1999. interested at the same time by mainstream tunes and extreme audio researches they try to propose their own interpretation of club music and released a first ep on the french-japanese label sonore in 2011. they have been invited by prestigious festivals and promoters around the world such as sonar (sp), villette sonique (fr), club metro (jp), todaysart (be), dans dakar (sw), les siestes e&#769,lectroniques (fr), universidad de coimbra (pt), nouveau casino (fr), le lieu unique (fr)... succession :struck by the vertigo from pancrace royer while watching the bertand dumont film «l’humanite&#769,» plapla pinky started to include that track in their dj set. after some research in the field of baroque musique they decided to make a mixtape of their favorite tunes of the genre, paying homage to the modernity and emotional power of that era.

with their fifth offering public possession introduces obalski. he is a long term shareholder of the public possession organisation. his musical portfolio, so far, includes scores for various theater plays as well as sound installations in art gallerys and dj gigs at various binge-drink bars around town, where if youre lucky, he also serves you your favorite beverage. this 6-track debut ep opens up a new chapter in his oeuvre.

for l/b014 bulgarian musical genius and painter cooh aka ivan shopov has found time in his busy schedule to cook up 4 tunes that show his amazing versatility and cunning production skills. ranging from the trapped out influences of duuure vip, the remix of a legendary tune which was originally released on position chrome in 2008 and changed hard drum&bass forever, to the broken beats of propast and stunningly avant-garde sunshine units (a current favorite of the panacea & the l/b family), he switches effortlessly to the neuro-funk influenced raised in the sky, a collaboration with c.a.2k. from russia, who recently has had a run of strong releases himself.

the deepblak chief alchemist kicks of 2014 with his first ep since relocating to berlin, and reflects the different modes of the dancefloor experience as filtered thru aybees metronome. driving, atmospheric, and at times euphoric aybee melds these narratives into an ep that carries the emotional colors of an album. 22 meters also sees the vinyl release of akiara a long standing deepblak favorite from the blaktropolis 2 comp.

wonderwheel recordings is proud to present the remix 12 inch for alsarah & the nubatones. called the new star of nubian pop by the guardian, the album, silt was produced by alsarah who describes the sound of silt as east african retro pop – it is music that harkens back to the hazy sounds of 1960s and 70s nubian music with its haunting instrumentation, soaring vocal melodies, and pentatonic arrangements.
the original song *soukura* a small taste of the upcoming album silt (out on 3/11) gets a signature deep and entrancing ancestral soul remix by african house legend boddhi satva. perennial wonderwheel favorite the spy from cairo gives *nuba noutou* a dubby dancehall re-rub, and label head nickodemus takes *rennat* into late night house territory with his remix, letting only the slightest of vocals come through and build tension until the final moments of the tune.

in recent times soul notes tilted a little towards more groove driven, distortion ladenmachine funk. snx001 is the missing release out of the snx series thus far. label head honcho kastil joins up with cologne based adryiano, who is quickly becoming one of the labels favorite household names. the signature snx sounds is developing into a dark psych-oriented club sound which this ep represents as never before. the opening track *snakes and holes* is pure percussive machinery with the heaviest overdriven kickdrums you will ever hear. on the a2, adryiano sets the mood with a low swinging bass and some eardrum deafening kicks which progresses into the b1 which is perced out to the max with some 303 bassline drama and distortion to top that off. for the b2 track, head honcho kastil shows off some lo-fi drum action on controversy.

we welcome back one of our favorite artists, brendon moeller. this time as beat pharmacy. brenson has been releasing several records for us before, on echocord and echocord colour. on all these tracks, one thing becomes apparent, with a few simple elements and a dub approach to mixing, one can create space, movement and groove without the need to change keys. magic maybe. thank you dub manipulators of the past and present for the music and lessons. brendon has been releasing music in many years on many labels, also running his own famous steadfast label.
