in order to celebrate 5 thrilling and inspiring years, we gathered well-known artists, goldmin regulars and emerging talents

tony clarke did his first recording in new york in 1971 at hugh hendricks recording studio called -righteous man- of which he played both bass and lead guitar. tony clarke decided to write the song “going home” to reference the roots of his music. in those days and even now good reggae music that was being recorded in the united states was not receiving the approbation from home because, in jamaica they felt that the best reggae music could only come from and be created in jamaica to substantiate the true feeling of the genre. so he decided to go back to jamaica and record “going home” at harry j studio with sylvan morris as engineer. he also recorded the cover version to “hey little girl” originally done by dee clark. for this 12 vinyl edition, the artwork was done with a vintage photo of tony clarke in front of his house at waterhouse and extended liner notes on the back cover.

norwegian producer tony anthem is well known and respected for his solo work as well as his contributions to both gunman and the legendary drum & bass dup future prophecies... for his latest offering, tony teams up with london based vocalist doctor for a couple of jungle flavoured dance-floor slayers in the form of “i love it” & “tears of mine”. “i love it” is an uplifting and bass heavy dedication to the beautiful art form we all love... music. jungle vibes and sweet vocals make this one a perfect fit for the airwaves! “tears of mine” again utilises doctor’s sublime vocals and tony’s rolling beats to full effect as the duo come with a grittier image this time of inner city life. pure fire! the combination of tony’s lazar sharp production and doctor’s awesome voice make this a must play on the both the dancefloor and the fm’s all over the globe!

tony more was the italo disco project of marzio benelli and andrea venturoli from firenze, italy. marzio specialized in sound engineering at various recording studios in milan throughout the early 1980s. he opened emme studio where we worked with major national and international artists. in 1984 he met andrea, a sound programmer who knew his way around analog synthesizers. their first collaboration was that same year on the song “computer sourire” for alexander robotnick debut album. in 1985 the duo recorded ‘tonight’, the debut single for the vocalist tony more that was released the same year on sensation records.
