the tracks here are in the brutalist machine house vein and the source material for * we come together* (by mazi as asp and john griffin as awoke) will be familiar to devotees of roots chicago house. the brodanse brothers * sleep won t come* is remixed by audio soul project and awoke. chicago based multi-instrumentalist jonn wallen contributes the dense * aesthete* under pseudonym *by gordon gartrelle*. * we get together* is a tribute to the 90s house that inspired us to start making music years ago. people reminisce about how things used to be better, but you must breath in the present. we keep with us those hallowed bones but let pain and suffering fade into the mist. we let memories fade in the depths of our neural web so as not to be paralyzed by the burden of sentiment. we forget to stay sane.

get wet is a new label formed by a group of friends based between milan and berlin and dedicated to release 12inch mixes intended for club playing. we are interested in pushing new languages of expression, reminiscent of the best traits from old-school influences and on the lookout for a contemporary meaning of the dancefloor, exploring further motives in club music.

this is the first vinyl teaser for the upcoming andre lodemann album fragments which is to be released in may 2012. the album contains both original material and remixes produced by andre lodemann.Ê this ep selection features brand new remixes for the south african house group liquideep and the charles webster produced january tuesday both 2012 releases. lodemanns edit for lusines two dots was originally done for private use. now it found its way to a release. lodemanns mes remix was somewhat overlooked and now receives proper support here. all tracks bear lodemann typical production style creating an epic emotional ride

the next release coming out of the roska camp is this smart vinyl-only followup to the roska allstars release. this second instalment brings more of the same versatile movements from some fantastic producers currently leading the way for upfront danceable material. main man roska signs up terror danjah to pull of a smart remix of his track >without it<. its somewhat of a guilty pleasure hearing both artists signature idents in one song, terror with his evil gremlin laugh and roska with his ubiquitous shout out! however its all about the arrangement here as terror reforms those original trumpet sounds and adds some heavy distorted bass. j:kenzo serves up >let it move< which is all out pure electro style with punchy drums and dirty synths, again lending to the surprising nature of this labels output. tickles completes the vinyl only package with >da growler<. drums are tougher than iron and bass harder than rock as tickles blends funky, dubstep and house into his own dance-floor destructive mould. all three records show a different side to the current uk bass and funky scene, yet they somehow could only belong on kicks & snares. a fine package for a burgeoning label.
