with the track *time machine*, dj and producer michael nielebock provided us with a fantastic debut on our deep circus label. his first success came for the berlin resident with the track pure visionson the treibstoff label, which entered the charts and the record cases of many international djs. his productions all are characterized by a driving groove, mixed with spherical elements, strings and synth-sounds. with *time machine* he also managed to bring this mixture to perfection in cooperation with his studio buddy leevey, thus creating a track which will make the day and caress the ears of many outdoor dancers this summer.
the second track on the ep is a wonderful remix by burak sar aka sis, who recently released his second album *confidance* on his label cocolino. the sis remix stays close to the original track, but reduces the spherical sounds and puts a greater focus on the basses, resulting in a great piece with a lot of deepness. nice!

phonk d connects with his buddy le rubrique. they created three real floor bangers with some heavy punch. raw mpc drums, disco samples and classic synths melt into a deep funky mixture. as a very special goodie they could team up with the great borrowed identity, who contributed a pretty nice remix to this ep. watch your feet!

with the deep circus 011 we present you lilith, a young talented artist from los angeles who delivers an impressive debut on our imprint. raised in several european countries, lilith was exposed to many cultures, musical tastes and traditions. she was classically trained in piano at an early age, and enjoyed a full spectrum of music genres, from classical to punk. a passion for electronic music grew early on and after a move to dublin ireland, she began digging deeper into the music, stared producing and achieved her own unique style, which has been described as a fusion of deep, dark, dubby, and sexy minimal with house/techno rhythms. a kind of style that really hits your ears and brain, which makes us even happier to present lilith engine repair e.p. on our deep circus label. besides the original tracks *engine repair* and *silicone*, the record contains two massive remixes by oliver klein and sweet n candy.

a little over a year ago, benny grauer released the single >moog phunk< on his label deep circus. after a few remixes and own productions for labels such as blu fin and circle music, the label owner himself is now back with another release on deep circus. >driver ep< is the name of the publishment, featuring two deep tracks which are right on time for this years open-air season. while >mellow drive< being a song building up more and more during its course, letting you dance into dawn with its driving groove, the second track >endless morning< comes along a little bit more rough. with a crispy bassdrum, dark sounds and the flogging hihats, this number wont release anyone from the dancefloor too early. enjoy!

the french producer fred siera adds a remix of >real face<, which is a real bomb! the clearly defined bass sounds will have a mighty push on any dancefloor, still the remix feels really smooth because of the rest of the arrangement, making this track overall even more enjoyable. let the summer begin!

from the most elegant deep house to the dynamic tech house beats, this highly experimental french dj and producer knows how to amaze the audience. resident-dj at space ibizas mondays calling in summer 2010, his weekly session on ibiza global radio every sunday and his collaboration with ministry of sound for his residency at la terrrazza barcelona are only a very few projects of this charismatic artist. his productions and remixes are very functional on the dancefloor and always supported by the biggest names.

after carlos nilmmns enthralled us with his expressive true chemistry ep, circus company is delighted to welcome a new character into the fold in the form of fast-rising german artist borrowed identity. based in the southern town of freiburg im breisgau, in just a few years he has already released scores of singles for labels as respected as quintessentials, fina, home taping is killing music and mistress. the borrowed identity sound is direct and uncomplicated, using classic house and techno styles and applying them to dynamic arrangements that showcase a confident set of studio skills and a deep understanding of what excites the expectant dancer.

bill youngman has been around for almost 20 years with releases on legendary labels like serotonin, scandinavia and tresor. he crossed many styles from melodic electro to really, really harsh techno, but recently he seems to have found his very own personal style. the music he released on killekill in the last two years show a very singular approach to techno and electro. percussive, deep, melodic, toolish – all at the same time.

for his debut on circus recordings maher teams up with fellow montreal man michael gracioppo aka casa. with a successful 8bit ep under his belt, plus a remix of homeworks >i m into this<, the canadian is a talent to keep an eye on. >malgra< sees the pair plunging deep under the jungle canopy. xylophone melody, drum rolls and dramatic breaks help create a unique atmosphere.
a bumper remix package is lead by kaiserdisco who bring their trademark funk with a weighty, warped baseline and euphoric break.
new zealands emerson todd follows us recent smash on saved with a smooth house workout. from the sleekness of that mix to the downright trip-tastic rework from new boys, acid mondays. these cats have been playing with those tree frogs again!

the latest instalment in the ever-evolving tale of circus company comes from a partnership that has already borne plenty of tightly honed dancefloor fruit, although never before for our merry band of performers and freaks. marc schneiders service to european house music runs deep. as well as steering the course of the mega-distributor wordandsound, marc has been steadily appearing on releases and remixes for new kanada, metamorphic, einmaliens and many more over the years. however marcs studio collaborations with ralf schmidt are fast becoming his most celebrated output. ralfs aera project is already being loudly championed by the most critical tastemakers in the business, including glowing praise from resident advisor and fact magazine for his unique and impeccably crafted tracks on his own aleph music label. after a string of successful remixes, the pair consummate their shared passion with this strong, focused three-tracker that makes a space for itself in the club-ready end of the circus company record bag. what on the surface may seem like straight-up dj friendly cuts soon reveal their hidden depths. whispers of techno melodies and textures hum away under the surface, while those with keen ears will pick up the sneaky tributes to uk rave culture that aera is known for sprinkling over his tracks. primarily though, these tracks gracefully tread the line between functionality and flair, leaving you with another glorious selection of imaginative house music with that inimitable circus co. stamp on it.

deep series is back! the third deep series features a fascinating symbiosis of two individuals: ekkohaus and santos resiak. the two of them started to work on this project in 2009 and are now finally ready to share it with the rest of the world. during that time, ekkohaus made a splash with a whole array of top releases e.g. 2020 vision, circus company and cargo edition. santos resiak was also having a blast – e.g. after his last release at mothership. the three tracks on the new deep series fuse together the artists still unbroken enthusiasm for deep sounds in one melodic common denominator. >thanx but no< is a homage to the saxophone (btw: played live by robert wuerz). heavy with groovy loops the track creates a free floating ambience reminiscent of a jazz club in new orleans or a night club on an early morning in berlin.
