Tension builds throughout the track and really sets the mood for this record. Anticipation is finally rewarded by the opening bars of ‘Message 1′. The apparently laid back, dark bassline gives rise to high frequency colour which serves to make this track a building cauldron of devilry, which is unrelenting in its pursuit of evil. This is Pfirter at his brilliant best and demonstrates his inimitable style flawlessly. The flip side of the EP picks up where the A side left off and opens with ‘Technalog’. The dancefloor sounds of this eerie track are perfect for the dankest and grimiest of settings. The final track, ‘Casus Belli’ is a driving statement of refusal to compromise.
