The release includes three original tracks by Marco and one very cool cream topping: Philadelphia's minimal techno producer and DJ, Someone Else, who was voted one of the world’s best live acts of 2006 (groove magazine), contributed a remix of Marco’s track “Klangzeit”. Marco on the cooperation with Someone Else, alias Sean O’Neal: „I was always a big fan of Sean. His minimal techno style always sounded so
pure to me and it is no surprise to me that his tracks were already featured on mixcds by Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice, Marco Carola, and others. For me Sean was a first address to ask for a remix of Klangzeit. I was so enlightened that he did not hesitate long when he heard the track and straight away agreed on making the remix!“
The tracks The EP starts with the original mix of “Klangzeit” in pretty classical minimal techno style underlined by cool analogous synthesizer stuff. Some melody and vocal snippets add more meat to the bones in the second half of the track and make it in its own manner irresistible.
In the following remix of “Klangzeit” Someone Else adds some cool minimalistic percussion stuff which gives the track some additional great underlying pumping beats.
The B-side starts with Marco’s “The Magnifier”, which could be seemingless played after the A-side. The unique aspect of this track is its hypnotizing baseline which kicks in after 1 minute and then infects you until the end To finally make the club atmosphere completely splashing over, the last track “RoundNRound” continues with a similarly infectious bassline and finally explodes with some unique vocal stuff as of the middle of the track.
