Original Cultures presents Blackjob Trashdub 12 inch, a vinyl release that compiles tracks from the original and remix EPs of the same name. This release includes three original tracks and three remixes on vinyl complete with full colour sleeve and artwork by Paper Resistance. Featured remixers include Munichs Danny Scrilla (Cosmic Bridge, Civil Music), Bristols Sam Binga (formerly Baobinga, Build Recordings) and Dublins T-Woc (Alphabet Set). Support for the release so far (both originals and remixes) includes airplay on Resonance FM (London, UK), Rinse FM (London, UK), Base FM (New Zealand), Beatwolf Radio (Manchester, UK), 22tracks London, Wrongtom (Tru Thoughts), Opti (Airflex Labs), Fracture (Metalheadz), LV (Hyperdub), Om Unit (Cosmic Bridge/Civil), Squarewave, Badawai (ROIR) and more.

On side A we have three tracks of modern day dub from Blackjob, the latest project of famed Italian bass player Mannaman. The music takes inspiration from dub's Jamaican roots and its modern day offshoots and mutations. 'Rise Again' features beautiful vocals by Suz. The whole thing evokes the best of Bristol circa Massive Attack's heydays.

On side B we have three remixes that showcase dub's modern diaspora. Danny Scrilla takes Rise Again into dubstep territories, with ten-ton heavy bass and snapping snares, while Sam Binga turns the original into a meditative jungle roller. T-Woc keeps MMD in more traditional dub territories, with extra lazers.

Blackjob is the latest project from famed Italian bassist Mannaman, a musician who over the last 20 years has worked with renowned Italian artists and collectives such as the Isola Posse All Stars and Casino Royale as well as Howie B and Tim Holmes from Death In Vegas.

"Dream-like and roots heavy, definitely one for the soul. Sam Binga remix is the one!" (Om Unit)
"Nice vibes and focused. These are all really good and I hate music. The Sam Binga remix is particularly good." (Raz Mesinai (Badawi))
"Some great sounds. Old school Massive Attack vibes with sounds that remind me of Nick Cave (in a good way) for some reason! Great range of remixes too" (A Taut Line)
"Loving the Blackjob EP, sounds like the best of old fashioned Bristol bass channelled through current tech trickery." (Wrongtom)
"Sam Binga remix is the one!" (Fracture)
