Paradise Club is simply a place for music we believe in with a passion. Unbound by tempo or genre the rules are simple, irresistible grooves, weighty lows and unflinching attention to sonic integrity, whatever the choice of audio aesthetic. Strictly limited, hand stamped white vinyl. Support from: Mary Anne Hobbs, T.Williams, Arkist, Midland, Lee Burridge, Matthew Dekay, South London Ordnance, Happa, Presk, Outboxx, Scrimshire, Echo Park, Blacksmif, Boomnoise, Moxie, J.Bevin, 2000F.

Spearheading this release and recently described by Mary Anne Hobbs on her XFM show as “absolutely glorious”, is Bruh Jackman’s “Of The Sun”. The first collaborative output from Hackman (the man behind last years anthemic “Close”) and Jabru (whose monstrous “Glass Floor” is soon to be unleashed via Tom Middleton’s new Sound of the Cosmos imprint) is a slice of space aged House that lets the melodic sensibilities of both artists shine through on this eerily luscious introduction to Paradise Club’s journey through bass and time.
Kicking off the flip are MTD & Juno Sutton (both of whom have tracks featured on the forthcoming 21st installment of Rinse’s now legendary compilation series) with “Syzygy” (exclusive 12” mix & digital only Original mix). Chunky future syncopations meet with more classic 80’s Disco House and Soul flavours to create a stunning slow funk workout that lets your feet doing the thinking and that’s already found favour with the likes of T.Willams “banger, will definitely be a long runner in the record box!”.
Rounding off proceedings nicely is the captivating “Induction” (also exclusive to the vinyl release). This two minute tour across Jabru’s beautifully sculpted, ever evolving beatscape serves perfectly as a ‘tip of the iceberg’ introduction to the potential depth and quality that the label and its artists have to offer.
All this should leave you in no doubt that if you like your bass music with style, artisanship and substance to spare, assets that in our eyes will never go out of fashion, then Paradise Club should be one of the labels to watch into 2013 and beyond.
