A1 starts the EP with “Times In My Life” by Philadelphia’s Billy Werner, a long time DJ, Promoter and player in the philly house scene. His debut track shows us the power of looping samples and how it can create the perfect tension to make people dance. It has just the right amounts of disco finesse and subtle vocal stylings that make this track really stand out.

“Sans Snare” on the A-side inside cut comes to us from Boston’s Mark Ingram and Brenden Wesley. It reminds us of Prescription Records in a great way! Stabbing synths and swirling builds will take dance floors over the top when they least expect it. Some of you might remember Brenden’s record for Solar Disco under the name Creatures of Habit…superb record.

Landing itself on the first track of the B-side is “Cave With You” by Time Reveals (Marcos’s new project with synth extraordinaire Susan Domelsmith). This EP will mark Susan’s debut into the world of dance music, as she regularly plays for the Brooklyn based rock band Open Ocean. “Cave With You” has all the right ingredients of classic electronic dance music with enough quirkiness to give it loads of charm. Think early Larry Heard in outer space.

Wrapping up this Various Artist EP, Marcos Cabral offers us “Tuesday” for the B2 track. “Tuesday” is sort of a continuation of Marcos’s recent release for L.I.E.S. It’s a well crafted dubby piece of slow techno with massive glacial undertones and precise texture.
