summer is here and sees us returning with true colours, daylight all night long, and a deliberate breath of fresh air. norwegian-italian producer pelifics makes disco, infused with a strong homage to 80s pop, and a little dash of 90s house. the result is melodic, inspiring, kicking, danceable music that leave the listener oscillating between sounds of youthful nostalgia and the future sound of disco. next to the lush ultracrisp feel of the original track, full of light , warmths, thoughtful ideas it s chmmr and fettburger, aptly caled fett birger here to even pushing this more towards the floor

after teasing us over the last two years with compilation and split ep releases on labels such as lets play house, horn wax and throne of blood/black catalogue, acclaimed visual artist and filmmaker sean dack drops his first solo ep as pixelife for throne of blood. deftly navigating the grey areas in between house, techno and acid, pixelife delivers two original tracks built to move the dancefloor at strobe-saturated warehouse parties. remixes come from druzzi and pittsburgh track authority.

besides steffis killer chicago inspired throb and moody melodic structure, >kill me< features the sultry vocal talents of close friend elif bicer, also recording partner of label mates prosumer and murat tepeli. elifs tender and instinctive story of a love lost and found flows honestly and creatively throughout the vocal version. an instrumental dub is also included for the creative use of the dj.
steffi also shows off her skills with the >crushed soul< mix, allowing her intuitive, sentimental yet dancefloor tuned chord progressions to flow stronger. baassline led and focused on clean, precisely measured beats and synth lines to tell the story, this alternative version goes even further to suggest what treats are yet to come from this talented producer.

one ist das debütalbum von ben klock. ein album, das in seiner visionären strahlkraft nahtlos an das shed-album auf ostgut ton anschließt. one ist ein extrem starkes techno-album, das in seiner eigenständigkeit zu einem frühen höhepunkt des jahres 2009 zählen dürfte. zumindest sitzt die messlatte - auch für ostgut ton - jetzt erst einmal erfreulich hoch

vinyl edition (7x12inch) is limited to 1500 copies ww!!! ostgut ton releases this unique compilation of music crafted from field recordings made inside the two berlin clubs berghain and panorama bar. the concept and original recordings were made by the berlin based producer emika. over a period of two months emika created the recordings in the clubs while they were closed to the public and edited them into a library of sounds. the library was then given to all the ostgut ton artists, but also to club associates like dj pete aka substance, dinky, cassy, margaret dygas, ryan elliott and scuba using his scb alias, to make music with. this release marks the celebration of the labels five year anniversary!!
