a new label from hugo mendez, co-founder of sofrito! a series dedicated to cross-cultural experimentation, kicking off with this exhilarating dive into the african underground of 1980s paris: a four-track ep from congolese singer albert siassia, backed by a group of young french dreads, rechristened tokobina lets dance, in lingala for the occasion. a mixture of post-punk, rumba, afro-disco and reggae, in two dancefloor sureshots reviving their sole 12 inch from back in the day, plus previously unreleased fire from the same session.

sias hits out on sze, the london based record label emanating from the secretsundaze camp, after previous releases on dublin’s jheri tracks. “as we are ep” is a collection of experimental techno wobblers. bright, topsy-turvy rhythms tumble over intelligent drum patterns and plotted melodic rises

making the jump from the cassette deck to the turntable for jheri tracks number 3 is sias. coming with a three track ep of two intense skewered techno tracks, daba and the title track milk harbour bookended by the wave fuzz of 4-7-8.

known as one of a few creators from poland and enfant terrible of the polish techno and house scene. this time the dirty stuff records owner introduces his own two tracks released by berlin based label muller records on vinyl and digital. on this ep you will find two brand new techno tracks - krypton and xenon plus krypton exceptionally remixed by beroshima. as frank muller said himself: >this is really nice fuc**** fat techno.< his comment says it all but check it out and let us know your opinion.

number 2 of three kicks off with the menacing sounds of anastasia vtorova’s (machine woman) 8 minute iron curtain, meandyou co founder herron (sam lewis) made on appearance on the first jheri tracks comp and is back with the percussive stop start vibes of yusmita. sias returns to the fold with his brand of post punk techno on brickfields with sbot & soft stone completing the set.
