inner shift music presents jacksonville aka chris lyth who was featured on their collective continents ep with the city sleeps. jacksonville has had releases on several labels including atmospheric existence, thug records, and on his own rather excellent imprint doppler records.

for their sixth release, inner shift music are proud to present their second various artists compilation. it features four different tracks from different producers, each bringing their own unique yet interconnected sound to the ep.

deep chicago house / acid house

jacksonville (leeds u.k) releases his first original track for thug records. the release also coincides with the launch of our vinyl arm and marks a new direction and ethos for thug records. after being heavily inspired by a 4 month trip to berlin in late 2009 and by a number of fantastic labels and artists in the u.s.a, we have decided to make shift back to a more organic platform. to quote levon vincent, the medium is the message. now for the tracks, dusk is a deep, bumping techno gem that grinds and pulsates with smatterings of acid, drum hooks and creepy vocal stabs.
on the remix front, one of our all time favourite producers, abe duque (nyc), does what he does best and turns out an incredibly twisted dance floor beast. both tracks here bring the noise. hope you enjoy...

we are very excited to present the first release on brand new label doppler records and it comes courtesy of jacksonville, an artist who continues to delight & surprise in equal measure & who delivers quality tracks every time. the trix ep is an eclectic 3 tracker which showcases jacksonvilleÆs versatility. it ranges from analogue synth-driven deep tech to smile inducing disco-fueled deep house & cheeky, bass-heavy tech house. doppler records is a new underground label releasing the very best in house music. their aim is to bring our sound to the dance floor without sacrificing groove, melody, warmth or originality. jacksonville co-founded uk labels advance & sensei, producing & remixing tracks for both labels & appearing on many compilations, most notably sashaÆs global underground ibiza mix. after leaving the labels he took a bit of a break, then returned as mecanique, putting out tracks on plastic city, toolroom trax, district of corruption (berlin) & slave recordings. jacksonville is the latest project.

unruh return with the second volume of their sextant va series. jacksonville contributes a prime slice of deep electro, followed by a dry polyrhythmic stepper from capricorn one. on the flip, tachyon show their wistful side with select a before robotron rounds things off with the broken beats of urlaub in marzahn.

it s been a long time coming but now is the time for metamrophic to present out first various artist compilation. this one features 3 up and coming artists, goiz, jem, and jacksonville, as well as one track from label head dan curtin. of course the first compilation from metamorphic had to be called interstellar groove addictions, the unofficial slogan of the label since the beginning. these tracks are modern trips into the unknown, representing the mood of the label perfectly - fierce individuality, evolution in sound, and deeply felt emotional content.
