bot ox is one of many side projects for french label owner and music tastemaker cosmo vitelli, in partnership with julien briffaz (better known as one half of tekel). their last single >crashed cadillac< was one of the highlights from i m a cliches moments of a crisis compilation from earlier this year. this latest effort is a real slow burner, with the misty voice of anna jean flowing over top of lo-fi melodies and blistering rhythms. weve also heard the flip side for the release – >bearded lady motorcycle show< – which is a more aggressive electro growler.

botox last november single on im a cliche, >babylon by car<, later licensed by dfa in january, gets a new life with unreleased remixes by padded cells richard sen, discodeine (alias pilooski & pentile), and dissident records invincible scum. supported by ivan smagghe, toby tobias, photonz, crowdpleaser, mylo, dj morpheus, matt walsh (turbo), riotous rockers ..

entertainment is a duo. im a cliché is proud to release their very first e.p on september 29th. juan de guillebon is the bass player. he studied a lot jaco pastorius, but decided not to spend the rest of his life playing in jazz rock combos. you can easily guess his attraction to no wave bands (suicide or james chance), krautrock (his faves are cluster), or ebm and early electro (daf). alongside, hes part of the ectoplasmic band, performing as backing band for tigersushis boss joakim. antoine montgaudon plays the guitar, and we bet he would have fit perfectly in any brian enos late 70s recording. he builds endless psychedelic atmospheres with feedbacks, loops and fxs. all this only with his guitar. hes also part of my sister klaus, a project released on tigersushi (again).
