spains jazzler aka dixie yure has been around for a few years now, recording a string of superb releases for fenou, nordik and of course flumo recordings. the summer of 2011 sees him follow up last years - she has ep - with an outstanding new track in the shape of - beth & the gamma ray fields. recorded as an ode to a fan called beth, - beth & the gamma ray fields - has already established itself as one of this summer big underground records, opening lee curtis watergate compilation and being used by the club for their summer opening video.

ray keiths ufo imprint returns to bring you a killer slice of dubbed out terror. dubdread – warped offers up a 140 breaks influenced slammer, meantime flip to the b-side for the ray keith remix showcasing his trademark breaks and production skills reminiscent of the dark soldier days all brought nicely down to the 140 bpm area. huge 12 inch!

shadow ray is best known in house music circles as the co-producer of the oasis 1, 13, 13 1/2 and 14 releases with omar s, although he is also well known to the ryan correctional facility for more nefarious reasons. the detroit-based producer has spent the past four years at ryan earning not only a hard knocked life but a trade in sound engineering. that was until alex smith (aka omar s) made a presentation to the facility s parole board to commission a remix of his recent hit >heres your trance now dance< as part of rays work release program! rumour has it the parole board was inhabited by at least one old school house head, and we re delighted to see alexs idea come to fruition, with shadow ray really nailing it with this remix. staying true to original s shimmering melody, ray opts to bolster the bottom end with a raw bassline that creates a nice, fat rolling groove

keeping it deep with ray okpara. percussions, drifty hypnotic beats, a touch of soul and marvellously deep ... house is a feeling and ray okpara has his finger firmly on the pulse, leading the way.

ray valioso (aka swiss producer agnès) returns to real soon with the 4-track particles e.p. on the title track particles, ray uses a moog-like synth part and a treated rhodes piano to weave a hypnotic melody that drifts in and out of focus over a clatter of loose, live percussion and distorted voices. on tocar te, basic house maniobras and groove memories, ray is in less experimental territory and turns in three quality pieces of warm, percussive, luxurious deep house. this is ray valiosos second full release, following up on his well-received einladung e.p. (real soon, 2006) - featuring the excellent >get the strings?< - and his recent appearance on the deep vibes recordings compilation >in the streets<.
